“ l believe that the spaces where we live have the power to affect us. My goal is create artworks that uplift the spirit in all the places you spend your time in. ”
Introducing Noora
What happens when you combine the rhythm of a musician, presence of a yoga teacher, nurturing spirit of a mother & wife , and nearly obsessed passion of a self-taught abstract artist? This.
Born in Helsinki, now living and working in Turku. Noora is a multipassioned and dedicated artist, who leans strongly towards learn-by-doing mentality. After high-school she studied Leading & managing services, but ended up changing school rooms in to a more creative life in the studio making music back in 2011. Things did not end up as per planned, and she continued working and studying some more. Now including studies also in the wellness field. After awhile Noora moved to the United States with her future husband. While living in Dallas, Columbus, Zurich and Biel, she took every change to visit galleries, bought the books and begun her journey to the painting world, being the teacher and the student all at the same time. After moving back to Finland and giving birth to their daughter, she started thinking how to pursue her dreams in the creative field. Painting artworks makes it possible to combine two of her biggest passions, creativity and intentional well being. Playing between chaos and order, her goal now is to paint artworks that uplift the spirit and bring an unique vibe to all places.
Her works have been exhibited in Finland and abroad, she’s been working with both private contacts and businesses. And this is just the beginning.
Artist statement
“During a painting session l don’t think. I think before, and l think after. But while painting, l find it essential to feel the rhythm & blend in with it. And l want that feeling to guide me.
For me creating art represents trusting the process, focusing on the good stuff and keeping a playful spirit while doing it. In a serious world, I strive to create uplifting pieces that offer balance.
Art is important part of everyday life, and it really matters what we surround ourselves with. I believe art is the antidote. Let’s use it.”
